I started running at 40, weighing 126kg, with absolutely no plan to become a runner. A few months later, I’d completed my first races, run my first half marathon, lost a significant amount of weight, learned far too much about cadence, heart rate zones and running shoes… and somehow ended up chasing bigger goals. This video is the story of how that happened. I talk about my first parkrun, the mistakes I made, what changed once I started training properly, why Project 95 became bigger than just a weight-loss target, and where I want to take this next. I’m not a running coach and I’m definitely not pretending to be an expert. I’m learning all of this in real time and documenting the good runs, bad runs, races, mistakes, gear rabbit holes and everything in between. There are plenty of channels showing you what good runners look like. This one is about what happens while you’re trying to become one. Next up: my first half marathon. #Running #BeginnerRunner #RunningJourney #MarathonTraining #WeightLossJourney #londonmarathon
