We were created in Jesus Christ, in the Presence of the Holy Spirit. Sunday June 14, 2026

1. Core theme: The sermon draws a parallel between the Genesis creation account (the earth being "without form and void" until the Spirit of God moved and God spoke) and spiritual rebirth - believers are likewise "created in Christ Jesus" through the presence and work of the Holy Spirit. 2. Role of the Holy Spirit in creation and conversion: Just as the Spirit hovered over the formless earth before God's creative word brought light and order, the preacher teaches that the Holy Spirit hovers over an unconverted person, convicts them of sin, and gives them shape and purpose once they yield to Him. 3. Distinction between "Christian" and true "believer": The preacher repeatedly contrasts nominal church attendance or inherited religion (being a believer "because of a pastor" or one's parents) with genuinely being shaped by the Holy Spirit - calling for the Spirit not just to "hover" but to permanently dwell within. 4. Scriptural support: He references multiple passages - Genesis 1, 2 Corinthians 5:14-17 (new creation in Christ), 1 Peter 1:1-2 (sanctification of the Spirit), 2 Thessalonians 2:13, and Job 33:4 ("the Spirit of God has made me") - to reinforce that salvation, sanctification, and daily guidance all come through the Spirit's revelation rather than human imitation. 5. Call to action and closing prayer: The message urges listeners to seek God's presence for personal revelation (rather than "living by imitation"), leads the congregation in a prayer inviting the Spirit to "give form" to their lives, and closes with declarations of healing, restored families, new destinies, and readiness for Christ's return.
