Kar Diye Qatl Ye Armaan Hamare Tumne is an original Urdu poem about love, betrayal, separation, shattered dreams, and the silent pain left behind when someone we deeply love walks away. Through images of broken dreams, restless nights, storms upon the shore of the heart, and the burning pain of separation, this poem tells the story of a heart struggling to understand loss — and learning to live with memories that refuse to fade. Written & presented by Imran A.M. Khan. An original Urdu poetic creation. 🌹 The Poem in Roman Urdu Har haseen khwaab ke par kaat ke saare tumne Kar diye qatl hi armaan hamaare tumne Badhawasi hai, thehar jaati hai dhadkan meri Aur uljhi hai, sulajhti nahin uljhan meri Lab hain khaamosh mere, aur zabaan hai gumsum Meri duniya bhi hai veeraan, gaye ho kyun tum Noch phenke hain muqaddar ke sitaare tumne Kar diye qatl ye armaan hamaare tumne Kisko aawaaz lagaun main, bulaun kisko Koi mera nahin, rudaad sunaun kisko Saahil-e-dil pe woh toofaan hua hai taari Meri ulfat ko baha le gayin lehrain saari Soz-e-hijraan mein shab-o-roz jalunga yun hi Mujhko maaloom na tha, roz marunga yun hi Meri aankhon mein bhare gham ke sharaare tumne Kar diye qatl ye armaan hamaare tumne Har haseen khwaab ke par kaat ke saare tumne Kar diye qatl hi armaan hamaare tumne 📖 Difficult Words & Meanings Armaan — deep desire, longing, cherished wish Badhawasi — restlessness, emotional turmoil Dhadkan — heartbeat Uljhan — confusion, inner turmoil Gumsum — silent, speechless Veeraan — deserted, desolate Muqaddar — destiny, fate Sitaare — stars Rudaad — personal tale, account of one's suffering Saahil-e-dil — the shore of the heart Toofaan — storm Taari — overwhelming, prevailing Ulfat — love, deep affection Lehrain — waves Soz-e-hijraan — the burning pain of separation Shab-o-roz — night and day Sharaare — sparks, embers Qatl — killing; here used metaphorically for destroying or crushing something precious English Translation You clipped the wings of every beautiful dream, And killed the hopes that lived within my heart. Restlessness grips me, my heartbeat comes to a halt, And my confusion remains tangled, finding no way out. My lips are silent, my tongue has lost its words, My world lies desolate — why did you leave? You tore the stars from the sky of my destiny, And killed the hopes that were mine. Whom shall I call out to? Whom shall I summon? There is no one of my own — to whom shall I tell my story? A storm has risen upon the shore of my heart, And every wave has carried my love away. In the burning pain of separation, I shall keep burning, day and night, I never knew that I would die a little every day. You filled my eyes with sparks of sorrow, And killed the hopes that were mine. You clipped the wings of every beautiful dream, And killed the hopes that lived within my heart.
