A Day of Village Life in Ukraine | Milking Goats & Harvesting Potatoes

Spend an autumn day with me in the Ukrainian countryside — milking goats in the morning, harvesting potatoes with my family, and heading to the forest after the rain. 🐐🥔🌲 Hello, my name is Lena! I live in a small village in the Poltava region of Ukraine. Welcome to Elena’s Country Life, where I share our everyday village routines, family work, and the simple moments that make up life at home. The morning begins with sunshine lighting up the dahlias. Then it’s time to visit the goats and start the morning milking. We keep our goats for our family, using their milk to make homemade dairy foods. Later, we head to the potato patch. Our walk-behind tractor helps with the digging, while the family gathers the potatoes. Working together, we quickly dig and collect half the patch. It feels good to see the harvest coming home and to share the work with the people closest to me. After the rains, I decide to take a trip to the forest to see whether any mushrooms have appeared. The forest welcomes me with fresh air and beautiful surroundings. I don’t find any mushrooms this time, but the walk is still a lovely part of my day. Sometimes, just being out in nature is enough. 🍂 Back home, the day ends with the goats grazing in the dusk — one last quiet moment outside before night falls. Thank you for joining me and my family.
