THIRD ASSEMBLY (FIFTH SESSION) JOINT COMMITTEE ON IMPLIMENTATION(PART 5), 6TH OCTOBER 2026

COUNTY'S DISASTER PREPAREDNESS AND PUBLIC SERVICE DELIVERY UNDER THE SPOTLIGHT How ready is the County to respond when disaster strikes and how far has devolution reached the public service? These are the questions before the Implementation Committee, chaired by Hon. John Macharia, as it meets with Mr Ambrose Ngare, CECM for Public Service, Devolution and Disaster Management, to review the department's FY 2025/26 and 2026/27 budget implementation. CECM Ngare is presenting a detailed account covering budget allocations, actual expenditure, procurement progress and the level of completion of ongoing projects under his department. He is accompanied by his Chief Officers and Directors, as required under Standing Order 31(3), which empowers the Assembly to hold county departments accountable for budget implementation.
