Making a Bee attack pheromone then testing it...

Warning: Do not attempt anything shown in this video. The synthesis uses corrosive chemicals, and messing with bees can obviously end very badly. In today's video, I'll be making isoamyl acetate, which smells like artificial banana flavor but is also used by bees as an alarm pheromone. So yes, the same kind of smell you find in banana candy can make bees really angry. I make and purify the isoamyl acetate, then take a tiny sample outside and see how a bunch of bees react to it. They were not happy.
