"They shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD." That line stands inside the promise of a new covenant in Jeremiah 31, and the letter to the Hebrews quotes it. Yet we still teach, and the New Testament letters assume that teaching goes on. This video reads the passage slowly, in its own words: what exactly verse 34 says will stop being said, the reason the verse itself gives, and in whose blood the New Testament says this covenant is. Scripture is quoted word for word from the King James Version. When something is a reading and not the verse itself, the video says so. 0:00 "They shall teach no more" 1:09 The covenant they broke 2:27 What God says he will do 4:37 The one sentence that stops 6:24 The word "for" 8:14 The blood 10:28 The question it leaves 11:04 Prayer Hard passages of the Bible, read slowly.
