BUSHI — 武士 | Japanese Zen Music for Deep Focus, Study and Long Work Sessions Two hours beside a lake in the mountains, just after the sun has gone down, seen from low over the water and looking straight out across it. Clouds stretch sideways across the whole sky. Above the mountains they burn orange and red, and higher up they turn to a purplish gray, then indigo. Range after range of mountains overlaps into the distance: the nearest are covered in dark green forest, and the farther away they lie, the more they fade to a bluish gray. On the left, a wooded slope runs down to the shore. On the right, pines and other trees crowd the bank, and at the far right edge stand an old stone wall and part of a building. Pine boughs reach in from the top left and top right corners. In the middle of the lake, a flat islet of rock sits just above the water, with moss and short grass growing on it. There is no wind, and the water lies like a mirror, holding the orange of the sky, the mountains, the forest and the rock, all upside down. Near the lower left, a large rock stands at the water's edge, with grasses at the lower left and lower right. Two hours, and not a single ripple crosses the lake.
