A step-by-step modelling tutorial at real speed: a 10 × 10 honeycomb storage panel, compatible with the Honeycomb Storage Wall (HSW) system, sized to print in one piece on a 256 mm Bambu Lab bed. You'll see why a real panel has no backing plate, why each cell gets a half wall, how the thin border lets the next panel join without a seam, and how to check the result before printing (section view, volume, mass). At the end, a bonus: Kozorosa's assistant builds the same panel from the same method, first try. The panel: 100 cells, 226.8 × 193.3 × 8 mm, one body of 55,492 mm³ (about 69 g of PLA). Cells 21.6 mm across flats, 20 mm pocket 6.8 mm deep, 17.6 mm retaining lip through a 1.2 mm floor, 0.8 mm border walls and 1.6 mm inner walls. Neighbouring panels sit 216 mm apart sideways and 187.06 mm apart upwards. 0:00 The panel and the print bed 0:17 One cell: a hexagonal ring 0:29 The pocket 0:40 The retaining lip 0:51 The offset cell of the next row 1:02 The pattern 1:17 Fuse: one body, uniform walls 1:39 Section check 2:01 Joining panels sideways and upwards 2:30 Volume and mass check 2:42 Bonus: the assistant builds it About HSW and this video Honeycomb Storage Wall (HSW) is an open storage system created by RostaP and published on Printables under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial license (CC BY-NC): https://www.printables.com/model/1525... This compatible panel was modelled from scratch for this tutorial, from the system's functional dimensions. No files from the original model were used. The video shows a CAD modelling technique. The panel modelled here is not sold; if it's shared, it's shared free with credit to RostaP, under the same non-commercial terms. Thanks to RostaP and to the HSW community for an open system that so many makers build on. Kozorosa — a CAD modeller with an assistant that models with you. Coming soon to Mac · kozorosa.com
