Hello, welcome to a slightly different video than what I normally do. I've been meaning to get my foot in the door with Pvz2 content for a while, so this is how I'll be doing it! Just playing through a favorite mod of mine. Nothing too special yet, but I'm hoping to at least try growing more and more from this whole thing. I will admit, I've played this world and others before but. actually i have no excuse! i just like playing this mod -- (Timestamps) 00:00 Shovel Might 03:30 Crazy Prepared 07:37 Sprint Through the Shock 10:17 Coin Toss Arbiters 16:58 Swing 'n a Miss 20:49 Blast From the Past 26:22 Carnage Camp 30:42 Free Gold! (Lost city thoughts) I'm gonna preface this by saying I absolutely hate lost city in vanilla PVZ2. Nothing synergizes interestingly in this world and most of the zombies range from Ok to super annoying. In terms of this mod, though? It's pretty good! Excavator functions more like screendoor where you can eventually remove his shovel (thank god), crystal skull creates a 3x3 set of scorched tiles, damaging plants and making said tiles unplantable, and relic hunter and importer have more minor changes. I will say I'm more than a little sad to see Bug zombie go, and I personally prefer parachute over relic hunter given that the latter is just a swashbuckler reskin whereas parachute is more unique but that's more of a problem with vanilla than in this mod. I will say, the terra shock ambush is a little weird for me. It can be annoying, but it never got outright obnoxious or unfair, and there's not a lot of lock and key in this mod anyway due to how its designed, but still.... very weird and idk how to feel about it Overall, the levels all functioned pretty nicely, and there's not one I could call annoying or bad. Solid A tier (believe me, that's high praise for a world i fuckin hate haha). Favorite level was 10, just a fun finale with a tough, but satisfying gimmick to play around. (Plant thoughts) To explain this section a little more, I'll specifically describe plants I use and find interesting enough to discuss. Starfruit: Really good, but difficult to maintain. Despite this being a 50 sun meta mod, that 350 sun price is nowhere near cheap. And even if you get a whole field of them, you're definitely gonna need some support; and losing one means losing that 350 sun you used up. Again, pretty good, but you need to try to nurture it if you really wanna snowball with them. Headbutter lettuce: By far one of my favorite plants in this entire mod. I have a blast using them and all the different strategies they can be used for. I usually have to refrain from using them so I can actually try to use different plants, haha. Really though, 250 sun, a cool amount of damage, as well as some butter is quite the combo and I always look forward to using it. Crocus: Another plant like starfruit that's really good but needs support. It shoots directly from the back which means you can easier weed out more dangerous, slower zombies like crystal skull, plus it just does a lot of damage in general. You do have to remind yourself it can only shoot the zombie furthest in the back, so it's probably best to get something that can also handle the front, but even still! Fun rework. Snowy Cotton: Not sure how I feel about it, frankly. For one, I didn't expect for it to be an elite plant (especially with such a comparitively cheap price as 550 sun), and not to mention I wonder how it's supposed to be different from missile toe who's also in this game, but I suppose I can't complain too hard. Can't complain about a cheap plant, and 3x3 freezing is always nice. Perhaps I'll need to use it more in later worlds... Peanut: S tier. Get one on the field, you'll probably hold off some zombies. Get 2, you'll probably hold off a good few waves. Get more than a whole lane, you've practically won. I love this rework wholeheartedly. Jamsonweed: Incredibly fun elite plant. I love the usage of the 2c plant, I love its ability, and while it can't solo a level, the support it provides you is undeniable. Definitely looking forward to getting more use out of it. Next time, hoping to get started on wild west.
