Caproni Ca.3 at Fly Party 2024, video #10: landing at Nervesa airfield

22 June 2024: skipping the rain at west, the weather grants us a quiet return to "Francesco Baracca" airfield, home of the "Jonathan Collection". During the approach we flown over the Piave river on the exact locations where the Austro-Hungarian army crossed the river during their last great offensive in WW1 on the Italian front: the "Battaglia del Solstizio" (summer solstice battle), 15-23 June 1918. Loss in a week (dead, wounded, missing): 85.000 on Italian side, 142.000 on Austrian side... :-( After landing the Caproni headed to her the hangar, where she will rest together with a Fiat G.91 shining the colors of the Italian aerobatic team "Frecce Tricolori".
