This song is a journey into the strange territory between the conscious and unconscious...the place where identity begins to unravel, shadows speak, forgotten archetypes emerge, and the question of who we really are becomes impossible to ignore. I wanted this song to feel like stepping through a door in your own mind and discovering that the person on the other side might be you…or perhaps the one dreaming you. It wanders through shadow, memory, the self, wounds, archetypes, synchronicities, and the masks we build around who we think we are....until eventually even the dreamer becomes part of the mystery. And then comes the question: Knock, knock. Who’s there? The dreamer. Which one? Maybe there isn't an answer. Maybe that's the paradox. It's song about consciousness, identity, the shadow, and the strange possibility that we may never know whether we are dreaming the dream…or being dreamed. Lyrics below. #ParadoxicalDreaming #Dreamer #Dreams #Consciousness #ShadowWork #Archetypes #Jungian #Existential #MysticalMusic #EtherealMusic #AlternativeMusic #originalsong I walked where conscious rivers end, Beyond names, And found the darkness that you send and waiting right behind my eyes A thousand archetypes forgotten The Shadow spoke a secret tongue, beneath skin, it whispered what i had begun, And the memories I embraced. filled my lungs, till I sung, then i won And the mask first thought as I Was the thing that had to die. Who is dreaming me? Who is dreaming you? Who is dreaming me? Am I the dream? Or the dreamer I can't see? There is a self beneath the fragments, not a king, Where the broken heart repents in the dark i understand heaven sent, silent vows, sacraments I descended beneath virtues past the throne rejected my own face I used all my wounds guarded the door I was born for much more that platitudes Chorus Knock, knock. Who’s there? The dreamer. Which one? I can’t tell you Come in. Into where? Closer…if I’m dreaming you, then who is dreaming me? And if I cannot see the dreamer am I the dream, or the dreamer I can’t see? Chorus to end...
