And we're starting to get a real picture of what this Premier League season actually looks like. *Arsenal — tested for the first time. They passed.* Chelsea put Arsenal behind inside two minutes at the Emirates — the first goal they've conceded all season. Morgan Rogers with the finish. Alarm bells? Not really. Havertz equalised, Odegaard won it early in the second half with his second goal in three games, and Arsenal saw it out despite Chelsea hitting the post through Pedro Neto and Raya making a brilliant late save to deny Estevao. What this actually tells us is that Arsenal can win ugly. Three games in, three wins, including away at Aston Villa on the opening weekend — and the first time they've had to show resilience rather than dominance, they delivered. Chelsea, meanwhile, have now lost six straight visits to the Emirates. That is not a London derby. That is a procession. *Manchester City — winning. Not convincing.* City beat Coventry 1-0 with 78 percent possession, 15 shots and 800 attempted passes. Haaland got the goal — shock. Donnarumma had to bail them out repeatedly. Enzo Fernandez came on for an emergency debut after Nico O'Reilly got injured in the warm-up and slotted in just fine for £125 million. But in two of their three wins now City have needed late goals or good fortune to actually get over the line — it happened against Bournemouth on the opening day and again here. Three from three on paper. Still finding their rhythm in reality. The Manchester derby is next. That will tell us considerably more. *Liverpool — Iraola's first win. Isak is back.* Alexander Isak scored twice inside nine minutes away at Ipswich — the first showing his power, the second showing his composure. He's now level with Haaland and Bruno Fernandes at the top of the scoring charts but doing it far more efficiently, roughly every 81 minutes compared to Haaland's 90, with considerably better shot accuracy. Last time Isak played at Portman Road he scored a hat-trick for Newcastle. Different shirt, same stage, same result. It's also Iraola's first win as Liverpool manager — avoiding the unwanted record of becoming the first Liverpool boss since Brendan Rodgers to go winless in his first three games. Cody Gakpo leads the entire league for assists with three, having created both Isak goals directly. Not bad for a player who was tipped to leave all summer. *The crisis clubs.* Aston Villa are 17th. Winless after three games. The reigning Europa League champions have lost six of their Istanbul-winning starting eleven this summer and replaced them with cheaper alternatives — and it shows. A goalless draw at newly promoted Hull following defeats to Brighton and Arsenal is not what anyone at Villa Park expected. Tottenham drew 0-0 at Nottingham Forest. Twelve shots. Zero on target. Still winless after three games despite spending over £350 million this summer. Cash alone won't fix whatever is wrong at Tottenham. Something deep in the culture of that team needs to change. Fulham were booed off at home after a third straight defeat. Coventry are yet to score a single goal. *The surprise package.* Hull City are third in the Premier League table. Above Chelsea. Above Liverpool. Above Manchester United. Still yet to concede a single goal. A club that survived relegation to League One on goal difference two seasons ago is sitting in the top three of the top flight. Who is going to be the ones to stop them? Newcastle came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Bournemouth — Jacob Ramsey equalising in the 88th minute. Worth noting it was the first meeting between these two clubs in 34 years where Eddie Howe wasn't standing in either dugout. For Bournemouth it's another warning sign — they've now dropped seven points from winning positions already this season. Every single opening game, they've led, only to draw or lose. Rose is still looking for his first win.
