Chocolate Cloud Brownies. Four ingredients, no flour, no added sugar—and an optional chocolate mousse frosting if you want to take them a little further. I’ve been carnivore for two and a half years. I go on and off the lion diet, and I stay under 15% body fat. I originally started experimenting with carnivore desserts because I wanted to get my kid eating healthier. Then I started enjoying them myself and modifying the recipes to fit closer to the way I eat. Now, cacao isn’t an animal food. These are carnivore-ish, not a strict lion-diet recipe. You decide what fits your approach. This is one of the things I’ve enjoyed experimenting with, and I’m sharing what works in my kitchen. Here at Carnivore Consciousness, we explore food, consciousness, and carnivore living. I don’t have all the answers. I do have a lot of stories, experience, and information I’ve picked up along the way. There’s plenty left to learn. Let’s make some brownies. CHOCOLATE CLOUD BROWNIES Ingredients: • 6 large egg whites • 1 tablespoon unflavored beef gelatin • 1 tablespoon glycine powder • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cacao powder Instructions: Preheat your oven to 300°F. Separate your eggs and put the six whites in your mixing bowl. Add the beef gelatin, glycine, and cacao. Stir the cacao into the mixture a little before turning on your mixer. Start slowly unless you want a cacao cloud in your kitchen. Gradually increase the speed. Stop and scrape the sides back into the bowl as needed. Mix until smooth, thickened, and starting to get peaky. Mixing time varies. If you can get peaks, great—but perfect stiff peaks aren’t required for this recipe to work. The density may vary. Transfer into a silicone loaf mold or a loaf pan lined with parchment. You can also grease a regular pan with butter or tallow. Smooth the top. If you’re using a flexible silicone mold, put it on a firm baking sheet for support. Bake for about 35 minutes. Ovens and pan sizes vary, so check your batch. Let it cool before removing and cutting. Warm, it’s closer to chocolate cake. Fully cooled, it gets more of that brownie texture. OPTIONAL CHOCOLATE MOUSSE FROSTING This is separate from the four-ingredient brownie recipe. • ½ cup heavy whipping cream • ½ tablespoon glycine powder • ½ tablespoon unsweetened cacao powder Start whipping the cream, then add the glycine. Add the cacao before the cream is fully whipped, and continue until thick and mousse-like. Refrigerate until you’re ready to spread it on your brownies. I also mention a vanilla variation in the video. Vanilla adds flavor; it won’t give you the same sweetness as glycine. ESTIMATED NUTRITION — WHOLE BATCH Brownies without frosting: Approximately 240 calories | 37g protein | 7g total carbs | 1g fat | 4g fiber Brownies with the entire frosting batch: Approximately 680 calories | 40g protein | 12g total carbs | 45g fat | 5g fiber These are generalized estimates based on ingredient labels and online nutrition/food-tracking references—not laboratory-tested totals. They are for the WHOLE batch, not one brownie. Divide by however many portions you make. I didn’t weigh the glycine. These estimates assume about 12g per tablespoon and roughly 4 calories per gram for calculation purposes; that is an assumption, not a verified calorie value from my glycine label. Glycine is not included in the protein totals. Your ingredients, measurements, and frosting portions will change the numbers.
