*LAST DAY* Journey on 28 | London Transit RATP GROUP - Optare Metrodecker EV (OME46001 - YJ70EVB)

Today, is the final day of 28 in London Transit RATP GROUP operation, as from tomorrow 4th May 2024, the route will pass to Metroline West from Willesden Junction (WJ) Bus Garage with existing Wrightbus Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL buses as its main allocation. I am quite surprised that the route is going back from an electric allocation to a diesel allocation, normally this does not occur due to the expansion of ULEZ but for some unknown reason, 28’s allocation is diesel buses which are the type of buses that m are getting sent to outer London like Brighton, as the mayor doesnt want to deal with toxic air in London. But in conclusion, I will actually miss the 28 in London Transit operation, basically is in Tower Transit operation as the company London Transit is shared with RATP and Tower Transit, and until May 1st 2021, the 28 was in Tower Transit operation with Wright Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL & DAF VDL DB300 buses which used to be allocated on the 328 back in the early 2000’s-mid 2010’s. After 1st May 2021, the 28 passed to London United from Stamford Brook (V) Bus Garage with Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B5LH buses that were on former route 13 back in 2017. January 29th 2022, the route was transferred back to Westbourne Park (X) Bus Garage as 1 month after the 414 company change to Tower Transit in 2021, the company was taken over by RATP, however Tower Transit still claimed the garage but not fully. The service on 28 was decent with RATP, but I wish the best for when it goes to Metroline.
