Last week I weighed in at 272 pounds after a huge 18-pound drop in my first week. I knew that kind of number wasn't going to continue—and this week the scale came in at 265 pounds. That's another 7 pounds down this week and 25 pounds down since I started at 290. But this week wasn't really about doing anything spectacular. It was about continuing to do the work. I'm still working on re-establishing a consistent fitness regiment. This week that meant sticking with my nutrition, getting my exercise done, and learning a little more about what works for me out here. I also talk about one of the excuses I've used myself: “I ain't doing that bad. I've seen other drivers out here way worse than me.” Maybe that's true—but somebody else doing worse doesn't mean I'm doing well. Comparing myself to someone who's struggling more than I am doesn't change where I am or where I could end up if I don't make a change. This week's update is a little simpler: just me sitting behind the wheel and talking through where I'm at after another week on the road. And in a way, that fits the week pretty well. Starting weight: 290 lb Week 2 weight: 265 lb Total lost: 25 lb Goal: 180 lb No miracle. No transformation overnight. Just doing the work. #FitForTheLonghaul #OTRTrucking #TruckDriver #FitnessJourney #OTRFitness #WeightLossJourney
