Suzuki's street tribute was the GS1000S: a 997cc, 90 hp superbike with the now-iconic bikini fairing. It was never officially badged 'Wes Cooley', but that's what the whole world calls it. Originally a Europe-only model, US dealers demanded it — and got roughly 500 bikes in 1979 and 700 in 1980, about one per dealership.
