Can I Inspire From The Back Of The Great North Run

This year’s Great North Run was completely different for me… Instead of starting at the front like in 2023 and 2024, I began right at the very back of the pack — with almost 60,000 runners ahead of me. And what I discovered might just change how you think about running. Because here’s the truth: you don’t have to lead from the front to inspire others. Running really is for everyone. Whether you’re chasing a PB or just soaking up the atmosphere, every step counts. From the back, the Great North Run feels like a whole new race — the crowd support, the atmosphere, the stories of the people around you. It’s less about pressure, more about connection. Join me in this episode as I share what it’s really like starting from the very back of the world’s biggest half marathon, and why I believe anyone — yes, anyone — can find power, purpose, and community through running. In this video are the Tyne Bridge lads running for Team Ewan and CF. Here's a link to their just giving page https://www.justgiving.com/page/gnrty... The charity I've worked with in the past and who I visit in the village is Ifucareshare https://www.ifucareshare.co.uk/?fbcli...
