He revolutionized electric guitar playing by laying instruments flat to prepare, bow, and strike them with unconventional objects, a technique showcased on his groundbreaking 1974 debut solo album, Guitar Solos. Over a vast discography encompassing hundreds of releases, Frith has been a driving force in bands like Art Bears, Massacre, and Skeleton Crew, while collaborating extensively with avant-garde luminaries such as Brian Eno, Robert Wyatt, and John Zorn.
