The Calif. Zephyr in Ft. Morgan on 05OCT2026

Today's California Zephyr #5 arrived in Fort Morgan at 0549 MDT (5 min. late). Ric had P42s #138 (wearing Phase VII livery) & #81 bring the 8-car train to a stop with car 7 (coach) to the station platform for service to 1 detraining traveler. Then 3 new patrons boarded for a trip west to various destinations. With the station work safely completed, Allie gave the high ball and on a clear signal, Ric ramped up the amps to the traction motors moving the Zephyr west toward Union Station in Denver in its trek to Emeryville by the bay. There were 2 Phase VII cars in this consist. The dedicated baggage car and the standard coach. My thanks, as always, to the operating crew for the greetings today. Everyone please stay safe!
