After ACL reconstruction, recovery isn’t only about strength, hop tests, and getting cleared to return to sport. Research suggests that fear of reinjury, confidence, and psychological readiness may also play an important role in ACL rehabilitation and returning to activity. In this video, we break down a systematic review of 38 studies exploring the psychological side of ACL recovery. This includes fear of reinjury, kinesiophobia, movement, return to sport, and why physical readiness may not always mean you feel ready.
