Why is Carnival Cruise the Cheapest Cruise Line in Australia? #carnival #carnivalcruise #cruise Carnival Encounter Day 3 – Airlie Beach Was AMAZING… But Edge was a Waste of Money! 😳🚢** It’s *Day 3 aboard Carnival Encounter* and today we’ve arrived in the beautiful *Whitsundays!* 🌴☀️🚢 We woke up to an absolutely incredible view from our balcony before heading ashore for our port day in **Airlie Beach**. This was definitely one of those mornings that made us appreciate having a balcony cabin! 😍 After breakfast, we booked our tender through the Carnival Hub app and headed ashore. The tender took around **15–16 minutes**, and before long we were exploring Airlie Beach. We jumped aboard the **$5 cruise shuttle**, explored the main street, checked out the lagoon and markets and somehow I was convinced to get on the Ferris wheel with two kids who thought wobbling it around was hilarious. 😳🎡😂 At least the views were worth it! After heading back to Carnival Encounter, we tried another of the **Edge activities — the Bridge Walk**. And unfortunately… this one gets a 👎 from us. We expected an actual experience but basically walked about a metre onto the bridge, posed for loads of photos and were then expected to purchase the photos afterwards. *My advice: skip this one.* If you ARE going to do it, definitely choose a port day because the views from above the bridge are spectacular. 🚢🌴 Then it was time to sail away from the beautiful Whitsundays and begin our journey back towards Brisbane. 🌅 We finished the day with dinner at the Waterfront Restaurant, a visit to the Piano Bar and a little bit of Carnival’s **80s Rock & Glow Party**. 🎹🕺🎉 Tomorrow is our **FINAL SEA DAY**… and it’s almost time to answer the big question: 👉 *Would we actually cruise with Carnival again?* Subscribe to *Wonder Down Under Travel* to find out!
