1,000 Stairs & Japan's Most Magical Onsen Town | Road Trip Japan: Sendai

We found one of Japan's most magical onsen towns, climbed more than 1,000 stairs to a temple in the mountains, explored a volcanic crater and drove through the clouds around Mount Zao 🇯🇵. In this episode of our Japan road trip, we're exploring around Sendai and Yamagata by car. Our first stop is Ginzan Onsen – a beautiful traditional hot spring town often compared to the world of Spirited Away. From there, we hike through the forest to an old silver mine before taking on the 1,000+ stone steps of Yamadera.
