💧 Let Pigment Paint the Landscape | A Wet-on-Wet Sunset Experiment 🎨

💧 Let Pigment Paint the Landscape | A Wet-on-Wet Sunset Experiment Come spend some painting time with me as I work through a loose sunset study built around wet-on-wet washes, flowing water, and pigment moving directly on the paper. This one is a little different from my usual paint-alongs. Rather than trying to control every passage, I’m deliberately using more water, spraying the surface, tilting the paper, lifting with paper towels, and letting the colours mix and travel on their own. 🎨 The goal here isn’t perfection — it’s experimentation. If you paint along, you’ll want: 💧 Spray bottle with clean water 🧻 Paper towels 🎨 Plenty of water and pigment 🖌 A willingness to let the painting surprise you For the sunset, I wanted to keep the light simple and luminous while allowing the cooler violet-blue passages to merge naturally with the warmer horizon colours. As always, I’m trying to get out of the way occasionally and let the pigment paint the landscape.
