Keep it going — 81 unbroken hours in one playlist:    • Meditation Music for Focus & Study — 作業・集中...   For mornings, the gentlest one I have made:    • ASA (Morning) 朝 | Japanese Morning Music f...   Thank you for being here. I made this to stay in the background — one unbroken hour to leave running while you work, study, or sit still. What is in it: six instrumental pieces, joined so the changes pass without a break. A Japanese bamboo flute (shakuhachi) leads all the way through and stays in front, breathy and close, with a handpan far behind it, struck softly with the hands, more ring than strike, and a bowed cello underneath in short warm strokes. It moves at a steady walking pace. There are no drums, no beat, and nothing builds to a climax. There is no birdsong and no sound of water in this one — only the instruments. The place it was made for is a small wooden cafe on the shore of a quiet lake, very early: a deck built out over the water, mist still lying flat on the lake, the sun only just clear of the mountains, lanterns still lit along the railing, a cup on the table and an open book beside it, a fire still going inside, and a seat with nothing to hurry towards. ASABORAKE — 朝ぼらけ. An old Japanese word for the first part of the morning, when the sky has begun to lighten and shapes are coming back out of the dark, but the sun has barely cleared the hills. The hour before the day has decided what it wants from you. If it helps you work, study, or just sit quietly for a while, I'm glad. 央心 / Oushin — Japanese zen music for focus, calm and quiet moments.
