Welcome to *Episode 3 of the Arithmetic Series!* 🔢 In this episode, we take one of the most important operations in mathematics—**Division**—and try to understand it not just as a formula, but as an idea that emerged from our need to **share, group, measure, and understand numbers**. In this episode, we explore: ➗ *How division actually works* — and why dividing numbers is more than simply following a procedure. 🔢 *What happens when a number cannot be divided equally?* This leads us to important ideas like *remainders, fractions, and new kinds of numbers.* ✖️ *How division is connected to multiplication* — and why these two operations are two sides of the same mathematical idea. 🧩 *HCF (Highest Common Factor)* — how we can find the greatest number that different numbers have in common. 📅 *LCM (Lowest Common Multiple)* — how different cycles or patterns can eventually meet at the same point. But beyond these concepts, there is something else I want to explore through this series. *Learning becomes much easier when we learn together.* Even a very complicated problem can become simple when we have a good learning environment where people ask questions, share ideas, explain things to each other, and build their understanding together. No matter how big the problem is, *if we learn together, we can break it down into smaller problems and understand it step by step.* That is the kind of learning environment I hope we can build through this journey. The goal of this series is not simply to memorise mathematical formulas, but to understand **the history, logic, intuition, and human experiences behind mathematics**.
