Movement Break for Kids 🕺 Shake It Out, Slow It Down | Big Tree Hill

A movement break for kids and toddlers that ends calm: shake when the music plays, freeze when it stops, then slow, then still. Your child learns: a freeze game that uses up the wiggles and then slows the body down: shake while the music plays, freeze when it stops, slow arms, then very still. Good for: too much bounce · a rainy day indoors · before a meal, a story or the car Words to say together: Shake · Freeze · Slow · Still For grown-ups: Play the freeze game at home: put on any music and shake, then pause it and freeze. Finish with slow arms and standing very still, and one slow breath together. It works well before a meal, a story or the car. A few minutes to share; every child is different.
