For the second tritone line I applied the fretboard voice-leading concept to see how to connect and shift smoothly between the two source scales, D and Ab natural major. The line itself is another example of voice leading, and here two types of shifts over Em7 A7 | Bbm7 Eb7 | DM7:
1) Shift of 1 fret to the right from D major (form 1) to Ab major (form 4) and back again to D major form 1, when the line resolves.
2) Shift of 2 frets by connecting two adjacent forms of D major shifting through Ab major in the middle. One fret right shift from D form 1 to Ab form 4 and one more fret right shift to D form 2.
Practicing lines this way is so useful to make lines developing smoothly!
Still working on many ideas with this concepts for my upcoming book. Stay up to date following my youtube channel.
