Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar met Poland Prime Minister Donald Tusk and his delegation in Bengaluru on October 23, inviting Poland to become a country partner at the Global Investors Meet 2027. The meeting highlighted a proposed investment of approximately ₹80 crore by Poland’s TZMO Group in the KIADB Vemgal Industrial Area in Kolar district. The five-acre project is expected to generate around 1,000 jobs and introduce the manufacture of smart adult incontinence pads in India for the first time. The discussions covered cooperation in artificial intelligence, gaming, deep-tech innovation, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, waste management and wastewater treatment. Shivakumar also highlighted the proposed Karnataka–Katowice Digital and Gaming Corridor to strengthen technology partnerships, connect start-ups and promote business opportunities between Karnataka and Poland.
