I Took a Deadly 10 KM Detour to Phuktal Monastery! | Solo Kolkata to Ladakh Road Trip

A beautiful journey to Padum suddenly turned into one of the most unexpected adventures of my entire Solo Kolkata to Ladakh Road Trip! After successfully crossing the mighty Shinkula Pass at 16,580 ft, I continued my journey deeper into the spectacular Zanskar Valley. The first major surprise was Gombok Ranjan, the sacred mountain. Seeing this incredible mountain up close was an unforgettable experience. But the real adventure began when I suddenly decided to leave the main road and take a 10 KM dangerous off-road route towards Phuktal Monastery. The route was rough, narrow and extremely challenging, and driving my car through this completely unexpected stretch was a totally new experience for me.
