St Mawes to Portloe: Estuaries, Quiet Coves, and a Roller-Coaster Finish

In this video, Roxie and I continue our journey along the South West Coast Path, tackling Section 30 from Place to Portloe. Starting out from the quiet landing at Place after taking the short ferry ride from St Mawes, this leg takes us deep into the rugged beauty of the Roseland Peninsula. We trace the dramatically exposed cliffs around St Anthony Head, passing the iconic lighthouse, before winding past peaceful coves at Towan and Porthbeor. From there, the path pushes on through Portscatho and along the undulating, wild coastline leading into the narrow, sheltered haven of Portloe. As always, this is an unvarnished look at the walk—capturing the physical reality of the trail, the challenging terrain, and the breathtaking coastal views that make every mile worth it.
