Oasis - Live in Zaragoza (8th November 1997) - Partially Speed Corrected

Oasis Location: Zaragoza, Spain Venue: Pabellón Príncipe Felipe Date: 8th November 1997 Source: Audience Recording Things are not going Oasis’ way and the cracks are beginning to show. After having a rocky performance at Lille in France, the rest of the French dates on this tour are cancelled due to a truckers strike. By the time they reach Spain, they don’t have much in the way of a stage set, and thus they perform without one (perhaps this reason led to there not being one on the 1998 legs). The tape for this show is certainly one of the rougher ones from the year, but despite this you still get a decent performance buried underneath. This is essentially your typical performance for the tour. Liam still isn’t at 100% but he is much improved over Lille and focuses far more in his singing, doing a great rendition of Don’t Go Away. The rest of the band are in tight form, with Noel again playing very well, Stand By Me and Live Forever are some of his highlights of the night. I have partially speed corrected this tape, but again I had an exporting glitch so could only make one change of pitch. Therefore while the first half of the show may sound a little sharp, everything from Wonderwall onwards should sound close to what was genuinely played on the night. This one seems to get lost under the radar, but it is certainly a nice enough performance, if you can get past the quality of the tape.
