Regis College expanded its online offerings without flattening what makes a Regis course feel like a Regis course. In this Chronicle of Higher Education webinar, Six Red Marbles and Regis walk through what that took. Most online course production scales on standardization: shared templates, consistent navigation, repeatable assessment patterns. The problem starts when standardization gets applied to everything at once, because the parts of a course that benefit from consistency and the parts that carry an institution's identity are not the same parts. This session covers how Regis and SRM drew that line, including: • Designing for the students an institution actually enrolls, not "the online learner" • Moving past the default essay when roughly 90% of reviewed courses ended the same way • Keeping faculty voice and expertise visible in the finished course • Sustaining a high-touch institution's relationships in an online environment • What student evaluations showed afterward Speakers: Jocelyn Wright, PhD, Director of Community & Market Development, Six Red Marbles Kelly Roberts, PhD, Associate Learning Experience Designer, Six Red Marbles William Koehler, PhD, Dean of the Marshall M.
