📘 Smart, Not Fast + The Complete Smart Pickleball Library (4 books for players over 60): https://smartpickleball.netlify.app/?... Somebody at your courts has called it "old man pickleball": soft, slow, low, nothing pretty. And the people laughing at it keep losing to it. Here is why playing like an old man, on purpose, wins points after 60 — without running more or hitting harder. In this video: • Piece 1 — Pick up their ball first. The walk between points, one slow breath and a half-squeeze grip, so a lost rally doesn't turn into a rushed return (and why it's never about stalling). • Piece 2 — Make them hit it up. Why a ball that lands at their feet makes a hard attack so risky (the net is 36 inches at the sidelines, 34 in the middle), and why bangers hit a lot of balls out. • Piece 3 — Aim where nobody stands. Deep and down the middle with room inside the lines, and what a charting study of about 2,000 amateur points found about deep returns. • Piece 4 — Let the wall do the work. The short, relaxed block against hard hitters, why it suits slower reactions, and what USA Pickleball said about "finesse, control and skill." Plus the honest other side: seniors who win by going for it. • For knees, shoulders and elbows that aren't what they were: how to play all of this with less movement, and a gentle wall exercise for tonight. • The final key — Play the same whether you're winning or losing, and what Earl meant by "Old isn't slow. Old is early." Which piece will you try first: walk, low, middle, block or same? Write just that one word in the comments. Everything in this video is written down in order in Smart, Not Fast, Volume 2 of The Complete Smart Pickleball Library — court position, placement and patience for players over sixty: https://smartpickleball.netlify.app/?... Talk to your doctor before starting or changing any physical activity, especially if you have knee, hip, back, shoulder, elbow, wrist, heart, eye or balance problems. Warm up your knees, shoulders and elbows before you play, and stop if anything hurts. Wear protective eyewear on the court. Never backpedal for a lob — turn sideways and walk back, or leave it to your partner — and never dive or lunge for a ball; if it is out of comfortable reach, let it go.
