Your hamstrings probably aren't what's stopping your forward fold. Your spine is. This hour is built to show you that directly. We take a reading of the posterior chain early, spend real time articulating the spinal column through slow seated flexion and extension, and then return to the same fold to see what changed. Nothing was pulled harder. Something upstream simply stopped guarding. From there the practice lowers to the floor and stays there: a folded blanket beneath the base of the scapula for a patient thoracic opening, the blanket turned lengthwise so the sacrum can anchor and the spine can float, a half butterfly on each side that quietly tells you how honest your foundation is, and slow circles of the femur in the hip socket where the body does most of its talking. The nervous system settles as the spine stops bracing. This is an at-home practice for introverts — refinement over effort, feedback over force. Woven through it is a story about a small village glass studio, two apprentices with opposite temperaments, and a single vessel that has to hold everything. One of them builds for strength. The other builds for size. What happens in the cooling, I'll leave for you to find. Stay a while. Breathe fully. If it resonates, subscribe and keep exploring your inner landscape with us. #RestorativeYoga #YogaForTightHamstrings #SpinalMobility 0:00 — The Tightness Isn't in the Hamstrings (cold open + settling into seat) 2:00 — A Glass Studio Takes On Two Apprentices (approx — parable opens) 3:10 — Tilt, Don't Reach: The Kickstand Fold (approx) 4:11 — Open Arm: Twisting From an Anchored Hip 6:10 — Hands Stay, Shoulders Turn (approx — shoulder girdle isolation) 7:40 — First Reading: A Fold Without an Agenda (approx) 8:45 — Waking the Spinal Column (approx — seated cat/cow) 9:12 — Two Thousand Degrees 11:30 — The Second Fold, and What Moved (approx — hook payoff) 14:27 — Blanket Beneath the Scapula 17:20 — Exhaling the Shoulder Blades Into the Floor (approx) 20:02 — Turning the Blanket: Sacrum Down, Spine Afloat 25:23 — Half Butterfly: The Left Side Tells the Truth 28:00 — Second Side, Same Question (approx) 30:41 — The Village Is Chosen 32:30 — Props Away: Neutral for the First Time (approx) 35:41 — The Femur as a Lever 38:30 — The Other Hip, and the Asymmetry Between Them (approx) 40:41 — One Vessel, Two Apprentices 45:46 — Thick and Thin: Two Ways to Survive a Fire 51:34 — Shavasana 56:38 — The Annealing (parable resolves) 59:30 — Large Enough to Let It Pass Through (approx — close)
