Inauguration of the Union Water Impounding Dam 10/14/2025

Claveria, Cagayan October 14, 2025 President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. leads the inauguration of the Union Water Impounding Dam in Barangays Union and Cadcadir in Claveria, Cagayan on October 14, 2025. In line with the President’s directive to implement projects that improve irrigation system resilience and sustainability, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) collaborated with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) under the convergence program called ‘Katubigan’ or Kalsada Tungo sa Patubigan Program. This aims to enhance irrigation service roads and provide additional support to local agriculture.
