KUMO NO GOTEN — 蜘蛛の御殿 | Dark Japanese Ambient for Sleep & Dark Fantasy Worlds

KUMO NO GOTEN 蜘蛛の御殿 - dark Japanese ambient for deep sleep and dark fantasy worlds. Ink-dark music for sleep, worldbuilding, tabletop roleplaying and quiet late-night listening. THE LEGEND The tsuchigumo, or ""earth spider"", is one of the oldest spider legends in Japan. In the Noh play Tsuchigumo and the tales that inspired it, the warrior Minamoto no Raikō lies ill when a strange monk appears at his bedside and hurls sticky webs at him. Raikō strikes back with his sword, and his retainers follow a trail of blood to a burial mound, where they find a giant spider and slay it. The blade was later said to be renamed Kumokiri, the ""spider cutter"". This mix imagines the other side of the story: a silent palace of gold lattice and cherry blossoms, where a spider spirit in a black kimono sits quietly among her threads and watches the door.
