LYRICS A feeding trough stood where the animals fed Now Mary has made it her newborn's first bed The cloth is so simple, the shelter so small Yet nothing can measure the wonder at all The promise of God has a face we can see And glory is resting in deep humility Manger of glory, cradle of grace Heaven's great promise in this little place Jesus, we worship the wonder You are Nearer than breath, not a faraway star Christmas has shown us what love chose to be Glory made humble for you and for me The shepherds arrive with the news still ringing Of angels above them and heaven's own singing They look for the sign that the angel had said A baby wrapped gently, a manger for bed No jewels to count and no banners unfurled Just Jesus, the Savior, the hope of the world Manger of glory, cradle of grace Heaven's great promise in this little place Jesus, we worship the wonder You are Nearer than breath, not a faraway star Christmas has shown us what love chose to be Glory made humble for you and for me This Christmas I'm learning to look with new eyes For grace in the places I used to pass by A neighbor's small kindness, a moment to pray A meal shared with someone who needed to stay The manger reminds me that grandeur can hide In humble beginnings with God by our side The bright decorations can shine in the hall But You are the reason for joy in it all Teach us the beauty of setting pride down The King in the manger needs no earthly crown Our hearts are Your offering, our praise is Your song To Jesus the glory has always belonged Manger of glory, cradle of grace Heaven's great promise in this little place Jesus, we worship the wonder You are Nearer than breath, not a faraway star Christmas has shown us what love chose to be Glory made humble for you and for me Manger of glory, cradle of grace We find our Christmas beholding Your face #ChristianMusic #ChristmasJazz #ChristmasWorship #ChristianChristmas #ChristmasMusic #GospelJazz #JesusIsBorn #Praisely
