Harlow Kincaid - Prairie of a Million Years | Dinosaur Country Song (Dream Special)

Prairie of a Million Years by Harlow Kincaid. A dinosaur country song by a female country singer about a night in a roadside motel that turns into a dream of a prairie full of giants. Not a real-life story, just for fun: this is a Dream Special, Harlow's tongue-in-cheek detour into a dream. No time travel, no actual dinosaurs, nobody got hurt. Room seven at the Lark Motel. A brass key on the nightstand, one letter dark in the sign outside. She closes her eyes and leaves the room behind. She wakes up barefoot in grass up to her knees. Ferns bow down over her, and the ground starts to hum, low and steady, as if something very big is walking just out of sight. Then she sees them: giants, moving slow across the plain. One of them lifts its head and looks right at her, like it already knows her name. A roar from the tree line, and she runs. Through the creek, mud up to her ankles, heart pounding all the way up the bluff. When she finally turns around, the giant only tilts its great big head. Maybe it was never chasing her. Maybe it just walked her home. She reaches out, and it leans in. Then she wakes up in room seven with prairie dust still on her skin, a million years away, and free. Prairie of a Million Years is a standalone Dream Special outside the albums, a dream that starts and ends at the Lark Motel. Take it with a grin. Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/intl-de/arti...
