When Life Tests Your Faith
Have you ever faced a moment in your life when you were handed something you never asked for? Something that stretched your faith, brought you to your knees, and left you wondering how you were going to make it through?
I call these Envelope Moments.
Moments when life brings pain you never expected, trials you never planned for, and circumstances that test the very foundation of what you believe. Moments when your strength feels small, the answers don't come, and all you can do is cry out to the Lord.
I've had many of these moments throughout my life. Moments that hurt deeply. Moments that stretched me beyond what I thought I could bear. But when I look back, I can see something that has never changed, the Lord has always carried me through.
Not always by removing the trial when I wanted Him to. Not always by showing me the whole picture or giving me the answers I was searching for. But by sustaining me, holding me, and teaching me to lean on Him when I couldn't lean on my own strength.
This spoken word is a reminder that faith doesn't mean we never hurt, never cry, or never ask questions. It means that even in our weakness, we know where to turn.
When life hands you something you never asked for, you don't have to pretend you're okay. You can bring your tears, your questions, your fears, and your broken heart straight to the Father.
And when you reach the end of your own strength, remember this
GOD IS ENOUGH!
His grace is sufficient. His strength is made perfect in weakness. And even when you cannot see how you're going to make it through, you can trust the One who holds you in His hands.
“For my strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
If you're walking through an envelope moment right now, I pray this spoken word reminds you that you are not forgotten, you are not alone, and you can still cry out to the Lord.
And if you've already walked through those moments, take a moment to look back. Can you see where He carried you, even when you didn't understand how you would survive the storm?
I'd love for you to share your testimony in the comments. Someone who is struggling today may need to hear how the Lord brought you through.
All glory, honor, and praise belong to Jesus Christ, the One who has carried me through every season.
With love,
Vickie
