Welcome to Day 9 of the 30-Day Abs Challenge. Today we’re working both the upper and lower abs, with a little more focus on control and straight-leg movements. As we move into Week 2, the workouts start to get slightly more challenging. You’ll notice more straight-leg work, slower movements and exercises that keep your core under tension for longer. Nothing complicated — just a little more control and strength required. No equipment needed. Just your mat and 10 minutes. WORKOUT FORMAT 20 SEC WORK · 10 SEC REST TODAY’S WORKOUT: Crunch + Reach Toe Touch Crunch Slow Dead Bug Reverse Crunch Straight Leg Raises Alternating Leg Lowers Knee Tuck + Extension Flutter Kicks Bicycle Crunch Mountain Climber Jumps UPPER + LOWER ABS The first part of the workout focuses more on your upper abs with crunch variations, before moving into reverse crunches, leg raises and leg lowers to challenge the lower abs. The slower movements are intentional. Try not to rush through the reps — especially during the leg raises and alternating leg lowers. Keep your lower back controlled and use your core to move your legs rather than relying on momentum. Then we finish with Bicycle Crunches and Mountain Climber Jumps to bring the intensity up. If you’re finding the straight-leg exercises difficult, bend your knees slightly and focus on keeping your core engaged. You can always make the movement smaller and build from there. 10 minutes. No equipment. Just keep showing up.
