OpenAI says its AI models produced three major results: a refutation of the
Exponential Time Hypothesis, a proof that would settle the Kakeya conjecture,
and a rigorous proof that certain quantum field theories exist. None is yet
independently confirmed, and outside experts are now checking them in the
open.

WHAT THIS VIDEO COVERS
The three claims in plain words: computing, maths and physics
Why the Exponential Time Hypothesis matters, and its link to P vs NP
How each claim will be checked: GitHub and Lean, an open review, a physics group
No academic credit for OpenAI, and $5 million for workshops
What to keep in mind: claims, not confirmed results
HOW TO CHECK OR BUILD ON THIS
The maths and computing work is public on GitHub, with Lean
(machine-checked) versions; the physics material is held back for now
The computing claim is under an open, independent review led by Russell
Impagliazzo, Ramamohan Paturi and Ryan Williams, who say their involvement
is not a certification
OpenAI agreed to fund a conference at the researchers' request
