And what a journey this would be. I know I said that my last regularly scheduled R68 (D) Train ride via Concourse Express back in June was likely going to be my final SMEE ride on the IND Subway. Little did I know when the announcement came out from the tracking server that I would have a chance to take long time New Yorkers on a trip down memory lane. And even though the (B) Line now is regularly assigned R211A cars, periodically we can still see an R68 or an R68A pop up on the (B) nowadays albeit rare. Of all the rare catches I’ve got over the last few years, I think this had the most nostalgia with it, even though it was before I was born. It always gives me pride to catch rare fleet assignments when the opportunity presents itself. With a fun Halloween weekend with friends waiting for me later in the week, I hope you viewers enjoy this nostalgia trip through The Bronx, Manhattan and Brooklyn.
