I was hoping that I would be able to get the R160 (Q) Train on a roundtrip. Even though I wasn’t able to get it, since the R46s were retiring rapidly and the timing to do so was absolutely perfect, and there was usually just one set left running on the (Q) I knew that I had to take the opportunity because the R46s are very likely retiring at the end of this year. Now I did this and will get a roundtrip with the two other routes before they are removed from regular passenger service. Now I have decided that if the final run with the museum train happens on a route that I’ve never done it on, I will take it and be there for the last ride. However if the retirement run is on a route I already did, I will pass up on it. The reason for that is I don’t want to have a ruined experience. After a lot of experiences with conquestors misbehaving occasionally on rare car assignments by skipping school and on some occasions with holiday trains, I personally think that for special runs like a retirement run, there needs to be police officers in every car of the train so that everyone is kept in line and behaves themselves. Let me know what you think in regards to my opinion about extra security. I’d love to hear everyone’s take on this story. With the clock ticking on these legendary cars, I hope you viewers enjoy this journey through Brooklyn and Manhattan during midday hours.
