For a long time, I misunderstood confidence. I thought confidence meant believing you were better than other people. Being the loudest person in the room. Always appearing certain of yourself. What I’ve come to realise is that confidence and ego are very different things. Ego often needs validation. It needs recognition. It needs other people to confirm your worth. Confidence is much quieter. Confidence comes from trusting yourself. It comes from knowing that you can handle challenges, setbacks, and uncertainty because you’ve built evidence through your actions. True confidence doesn’t need to prove anything. It doesn’t come from having all the answers. It comes from repeatedly showing up for yourself, keeping promises to yourself, and building self-respect over time. In this video, I explore the difference between confidence and ego, why many of us confuse the two, and how genuine confidence is built through consistency rather than validation. Because real confidence isn’t about thinking you’re better than anyone else. It’s about trusting yourself enough to be yourself.
