Continuing my medal hunt in Wales in Assetto Corsa Rally v0.6, once again with one of my favorite rally cars the Lancia Delta HF Integrale. This time the challenge takes place at Afon Bidno at night, adding limited visibility to an already narrow and technical Welsh stage. And once again, the Delta delivered. Gold on the very first run. 🌙 Afon Bidno - Into the Darkness Driving Afon Bidno at night completely changes the feeling of the stage. During daylight you can look much further ahead and prepare for upcoming corners, but at night everything outside the headlights disappears into darkness. That makes commitment much more difficult. You need to trust the pacenotes, react quickly and maintain confidence even when you cannot clearly see what is coming further down the road. 🇮🇹 Delta HF Integrale - Back on the Medal Hunt After already completing another Afon Bidno challenge with the Delta, I continued working through the ACR Rally Events and collecting the remaining medals. The Delta again proved to be a great choice. Its four-wheel-drive traction gives plenty of confidence when accelerating out of the slower sections, while the car remains lively enough that the narrow Welsh roads still require constant attention. The challenge becomes even more interesting once visibility is reduced to whatever the headlights can illuminate. 🎥 Onboard Only This video is slightly different from my usual ACR uploads. There is no TV Replay this time. With the stage taking place at night, the external replay cameras are simply too dark and the car is often barely visible. So instead, the entire run is presented from the Onboard view, which also gives a much better impression of what driving Afon Bidno at night actually feels like. From inside the car, you can see exactly how limited the visibility becomes and how much you need to trust the road ahead. 🥇 Gold on the First Attempt The main goal was simply to continue progressing through the Rally Events challenges. And fortunately, there was no need for multiple attempts. The first run was enough to secure another Gold medal. Driving the stage at night makes everything feel completely different. The road disappears into the darkness, visibility becomes limited to the headlights, and trusting the pacenotes becomes even more important.
