The Banker Was Shot At Dawn. The Telegraph Tape Named His Killer

When banker Silas Vance was shot dead at dawn in 1891 Wyoming, the only clue was a telegraph tape someone tried to erase. But the original message remained hidden beneath the alteration, pointing directly to a former miner who thought he’d covered his tracks. This reconstruction follows every hour of the manhunt using court records, ledgers, cartridge casings, and the testimony of a telegraph operator whose attention to detail brought a killer to justice. No speculation, no myth, only the evidence that ended a frontier crime. 0:00 Intro 0:46 The Banker's Last Morning 4:29 Dawn on the Platform 8:01 The Altered Tape 11:28 The Posse Rides 15:19 Cornered in the Dark 18:41 The Trial Begins 22:01 Verdict and Sentence 25:08 The Tape Never Lies #oldwest #wildwest #westernstories #outlaw #cowboystories
