Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) drops by the Carver house with an agenda: he needs a DNA sample from baby Isaac (Alyssa and Lauren Libby) to find out who the father is. Abe (James Reynolds) is less than thrilled to see him, but Lexie (Renée Jones) welcomes her father warmly. Later, at work, Abe is shocked to hear Fay (Valerie Wildman) on the line, asking to talk to him in person. Meanwhile, Stefano gets a moment alone with the baby and tries to get his sample. Will he pull it off? Sami (Alison Sweeney) is forced to admit to Austin (Austin Peck) that she isn’t sick, though she lies and says she was only faking it so she could go to Chicago. The two argue about Will (Shawn and Taylor Carpenter), and as an upset Sami starts to leave, Austin pulls her into a kiss so she remembers that he loves her. Meanwhile, Brandon (Matt Cedeño) lies to Fay, saying he is heading to the Caribbean for a few days, and the two exchange harsh words about Abe. Greta (Julianne Morris) and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) nearly catch Nicole (Arianne Zucker) with Eric (Jensen Ackles) at his apartment, but Eric manages to get rid of them. Over at the Java Cafe, Lucas fills Greta in on Nicole’s situation and admits he is worried sick about his wife. Greta tries to comfort him and offer advice, but he doesn’t take it very well. Back at Eric’s, he and Nicole continue their intense talk about her biopsy and her past. Eric truly feels for her and admits he would still have wanted to be with her even if he had known everything.
