At 87, she stepped onto a JumpSport rebounder for the very first time. Now 91, she's inspired viewers around the world to try it too. In this episode of the JumpSport Podcast, host Jessie talks with a longtime rebounder instructor about active aging, and why a rebounder can be such a gentle, powerful tool at any age. The conversation starts with the story of Helen, the instructor's grandma, who joined her first rebounder video as a nervous beginner holding the handlebar with both hands, and ended up in about a dozen videos and a growing fan club. IN THIS EPISODE: • Why "it's only for young people" is a myth worth challenging • How rhythmic, dance-like movement and cross-lateral moves can challenge your brain • "Motion is lotion": mobility, stiffness, and joint comfort on the rebounder • Why the rebounder's unstable surface works your balance muscles, and what she's heard from older rebounders about confidence and fall prevention • Safety tips: the right equipment, supportive shoes, using the handlebar, warming up and cooling down • Why a few minutes is plenty to start (and what happens when you do too much, too soon) • Pelvic floor strength and why bladder leaks shouldn't keep you from trying • The lymphatic system explained as a "garbage truck," and why a few minutes of health bouncing is a great place to begin • Why this conversation is worth sharing with the people you love ⏱️ CHAPTERS 0:00 Grandma's first rebounder workout at 87 0:29 Active aging and meeting Helen 1:44 "If she can do it, I can too" 2:15 Dancing, brain health, and cross-lateral moves 4:17 Busting limiting beliefs about age 4:51 Mobility, stiffness, and "motion is lotion" 5:52 Balance and fall prevention 8:06 Safety: equipment, shoes, and the handlebar 9:11 Start with just a few minutes 10:13 Pelvic floor and bladder leaks 11:35 The lymphatic system and health bouncing 13:30 Sharing this with the people you love 14:23 Final safety reminders 15:06 Thank you and next steps 🤍 Her channel, Earth & Owl:    / @earthowl   🔗 Get your JumpSport rebounder here: https://www.jumpsport.com/ 📸 Instagram:   / jumpsportfitness   📘 Facebook:   / jumpsportfitness   If this episode made you think of someone, send it to them.
