A big ball and a small ball, and one box. The big ball tries first - and it is too big. The small ball drops right in. It fits! WHAT THIS TEACHES Big and small - two of the first describing words a toddler learns. Most videos show a big picture next to a small picture and name them. Here the size MATTERS: the box has one opening, the big one will not go through it and the small one will, so a two year old sees what big and small DO, not just what they look like. Both things stand on the same line, so the only difference between them is their size. The big one is not always in the same place, and the question is not always "which one is big?" - so the answer has to come from looking, not from habit. Six things get named along the way: ball, star, apple, cup, flower and berry. BEST FOR 2 and 3 year olds - toddlers. Every round has a question and a long, unhurried pause to point and answer. Short version:    • Big Ball, Small Ball - Which One Fits?   Every part of this video is made for this channel: the animation is drawn frame by frame in our own code, the music is composed for this episode, and the narration is generated with a public-domain voice.
